House & Home Photography

I built the website for my photography business, with the galleries, prices, and booking link in easy reach.

Where it started

This one is my own business: a one-person photography company for real-estate listings, hotels, and local businesses, started in January 2020. I shoot the work and I built the site. It had one job, get a shoot booked, and it had to lead with the pictures because the pictures are the product.

What made it hard

  • A photographer's site competes on the work, not the copy. The words get out of the way.
  • One job, booking a shoot. Anything that didn't help with that stayed off the page.

What I built

The photographs make the case

Galleries come first. Prices are stated plainly, and booking is a click away. Nothing on the page that isn't either a photograph or a reason to book one.

What isn't measured

  • No before-and-after, because the site launched with the business.
  • The inquiry-to-booking rate isn't tracked. Most work comes by referral, which the site never sees.

Notes

I built this one myself in 2020, before I used any AI tools in my work, so it’s a fair picture of what I do unassisted. Public information only.
